What we're learning in public.
Build-in-public notes from inside the product. Agentic decision logs, deliverability benchmarks, ICP-discovery experiments — the kind of thing we wish someone had written when we started. Long-form, citable, no listicles.

Cross-tenant cooldown: 7 days because we'd want it ourselves
When two Overwise customers independently find the same lead, the second customer's send is silently held for seven days. Thirty days if the lead already replied. Neither customer sees the other. Why we built the shared-pool architecture that costs each tenant some sends — and refuses to ship the double-tap from two strangers in one week.

Cite-or-discard as a product primitive: how the MessageVerifier earns its keep
Every factual claim in every draft has to cite a span of the lead's actual context — or the verifier throws the draft away. Not a quality score, a binary. Why we built cite-or-discard as a primitive instead of a hallucination probability, what it costs in send rate and LLM spend, and what makes it compose with every other generator we ship.

The reply-rate trap: why we don't promote A/B winners by reply rate
Every other outbound tool ships an A/B winner-picker. Reply rate as the only signal collapses positive replies, negative replies, and unsubscribes into one number — and the variant with more 'stop emailing me' wins on the same scoreboard as the variant with more 'let's talk.' What we removed, and the classifier-aware metrics, negative-theme clustering, and per-decision drafting that replaced it.

Replacing a fixed sequence with an agentic loop
In April we ripped out the five-step email sequence and rebuilt it as an agentic loop — a Sonnet executor that decides per-lead what to send, an Opus advisor for edge cases, and a MessageVerifier that discards drafts whose claims can't be cited. What we kept, what we deleted, and the per-lead decision log that came out of it.
